I am an epidemiologist and psychologist specializing in mental disorders, especially addictions. I am President of Duncan & Associates, a research consulting firm. I am also a faculty member at Brown University Medical school, teaching online classes on addictions treatment. I have taught in the past at the University of Texas, Baylor College of Medicine, SUNY, Southern Illinois University, and the University of Cologne, and have over thirty years clinical experience in treating addictions. I'm the author of three books and over 200 papers in scientific journals.
